2010 Hot Auctions Bugatti Veyron

Postby sfamiler » Wed Mar 30, 2011 10:13 am

I came across a pricing anomoly as I was updating the 2010 series. The Hot Auctions Series Bugatti Veyron consistenly sells in the double digits on Ebay. There are two variations and they both seem to be hot items. I think I may cover this on the next Diecast Spotlight feature but first, I'm wondering if anyone has any information on this release and why it is selling for so much. Was it a short run? Just a really popular model? What is the deal with this one?

Thanks,

Trenton

PS - If you own one or both variations, please post pictures to our 2010 group album on Photobucket.

I'll see what information I can dig up about why this car is so in demand. I've never seen it on the pegs but always looking for it for trade bait lol.

My inventory shows that I have several; both in the satin blue & the Walmart exclusive satin red. What are we saying the price is on these?

I guess I'll be taking them out of the $1.00 box before the next toy show.

I have the blue one, and I regret not buying more when I had the chance.

Same with the 2010 Speed Machines Veyron.

Never got the red one, I don't think Mattel shipped it on "International" cards to Canadian Wal-Marts.

I heard that MATTEL lost there liscesing to make the car. I think thats why the prices are so high.
