Hot Wheels has finally produced a copy of what is possibly the most famous car in the world: The ’63 Aston Martin DB5
. This car was featured in the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger, then resurrected again for Skyfall in 2012. The car features a 282 hp 6 cylinder which could propel the car to a top speed of 143 mph. Only 1023 were made so finding a real one might be a challenge, not to mention expensive. You can, however, now own a Hot Wheels replica. So far, it has only been released in dark green, but I suspect we will soon see it in silver and possibly other colors as well. The green version is currently averaging $1-2 on Ebay.

Found a silver hot wheels 1963 Aston Martin DB5 at Walmart a few weeks ago. Not sure if this makes it more collectable but on the package right under the hot wheels banner it says, “JAMES BOND 007 GOLDFINGER”. I’m not really a bond movie fan but had to buy it because I had never seen this hot wheels model before.
